The Willow Tree

by Lawrence   Aug 3, 2007

As you get older
And grow to his shoulder
You huddle up closer
To that old willow Tree
Where he wraps you up tight
With a kiss
And good night
And you feel all so safe
In his presence by the sea

Yet as you get bolder
You grow past his shoulder
And find yourself colder
With out
That old Willow Tree
For long have you lied
At the sea by his side
On his Knee you have cried
To that old willow Tree

Like a friend he has tried
To stay by your side
And protect you
He'd die
That old Willow Tree
As you lay wrapped up tight
With a kiss
And good night
You sleep blissfully light
In his presence by the sea
That old willow tree
