To Hear You Love Me

by Samsara   Aug 3, 2007

Hearing those very words from you,
Tore my heart to shreds.
This was by far the most painful
thing towards me you had ever said.

I guess deep down I'd always
known it was how you truly felt.
But to hear it from you,
was the harshest thing I've
ever been dealt.

You spoke those words to me,
so very long ago.
But the wounds are fresh,
the cut runs deep,
and the pain refuses to go.

How can you tell me you care for me,
then speak the words you speak.
I wish we could be closer,
but I can see our future is bleak.

All I've ever wanted was to make
you and Mom proud.
For you to say you love me,
and to speak those three words out loud.
