Looking down on me

by kayla XoXoxOxO   Aug 4, 2007

Its so weired
that i can no longer talk to your face
i wish you would come back
and fill this empty space

its hard to believe.
because you were just here
but now that your gone
all i shed is tears

the last time i saw your smile
i never thought it would be the last
i thought id see you again
but that was in the past

if i knew the last time i saw you would be the last time i ever looked at you
i never would have stopped staring

they last time i glanced at you
i remembered what you were wearing

all thats left of you know is the ghost of your image in my head
but knowing that i will never See you again
is something i know dread

i never pictured this would happen
how could this be true?
that when i heard what happened
i prayed that it wasn't you

but prayers don't always work.
or else you would still be standing by my side
no matter how hard i look
no matter how far or wide

so i close this off with a few simple words
and they come from deep with in my heart
you shall never be forgotten
and we.. shall never part

Hey kristen here this poem is great it kind of cheered me up a little, because my little cousin who was but 6 months when this happened but 7 months when he died.
my cousin christina the mother of this little boy killed her own son by burning him in his baby bed with her liter. this happened in iberia, misouri at her little sisters house. so this poem kind of cheered me up a little bit, he died on my moms birthday of this year. july 31 .

  • Beautiful poem, probably the most emotion filled of all I've read so far, I hope you're ok and manage to overcome what you're going through.
