The Thief

by BreakMyWingsAndRun   Aug 4, 2007

You are the one who stole my heart
forever in your hands
when we are apart just look up in the stands
and there I'll be watching you
and waiting for the key
asking you to
set my heart free
i can't take it anymore
when you finally released it from your clutch
you gave it back to me tore
i loved you so much
now i have no love left in my heart it all seeped through the crease
not knowing how to love again
i gave you every piece
all i have is my pen
to let out my emotions
when you come across my mind
i get a notion
but i let it pass and it gives me a sign
we really loved each other
but then you had to flee
you left me to suffer
with no heart left in me

A nice but sad poem. You may want to spell "Thief" correctly though. A good job with your expression.
