Living in my nightmare

In this world full of hate

Where we just lay in the dark

For death, we silently wait

We each have a story to tell

Full of anger, tragedy, and despair

Living in this messed up world

Which treats us so unfair

Kelly was my best friend

In some ways she was just like me

Dealing with sadness

That no one else could see

Her parents treated her like crap

She hid her screwed up life well

Everyone thought she was perfect

But she was live through hell

Her dad was an alcoholic

Her mom didn't even care

Despite her home life

For me she was always there

Then she gave up

They found her the next day

She slit her wrists in bed

They carried her body away

I didn't go to her funeral

For it was too hard for me to watch

I love her so much

Shes as beautiful as can be

But when she looks in the mirror

An overweight girl she sees

She makes herself sick

In desperate hope

That someone might help her

Because she really cant cope

Every night she wishes

Upon a shining star

Prays to God up above

To take her soul somewhere far

J's dad died last year

A bullet to the chest

Almost everyday

Getting into fights at school

Lost faith in God too
