Before Friday came

When we had that meeting
the other day with the pastor
I was really proud of you
to tell him how you feel.

The truth did need to come
out for him to leave us alone
and not bug us again.

I am really proud that
you told him the truth
even though I don't
think it is going to get
them to leave us alone.

I am not going to let them
get in our life and try
to tell us what to do and say.
