Blood Stained Stones

by Amygirl   Aug 4, 2007

White, cold graves surround her
They go on for miles
Tears fall proudly and in brutal hate
All fears and hopes in piles

The tree of life is dead here
Cold statues with hard faces stand
Tears become fire
The Statue of Liberty folds up her hand

Veins run through streams of emotions
Draining to the river of blood
They are in an amazing place
But the rain here has become a raging flood

People don't like how we run things
People try to bring us down
People want in because of all the pain that has been suffered
Why can't for themselves just eliminate the crown?

Difference of opinion
Never stands without blood
Regular people, with regular jobs
Now all wrapped up in mud

It's amazing how blood must be spilt
Over just a little disagreement
Its amazing how that little thing
Leads to lies, deceit, and judgment

Is it too much to ask?
For people to look with pity
For they are different from their enemy's too
Just think, all these countries could become all one city

For now this will have to do
For she knows she could live in no better place
And that day will come
When she stands proudly with all heroes face to face
