End it Tonight

by Aiden   Aug 4, 2007

I look at you
Do you see me?
I look happy
No sign of sorrow
And that's how
I will look tomorrow
But later tonight
When I get home
I full of fright
Do you think
I'll end it tonight?
Maybe it will
Maybe it won't
Do you care?
I know I don't
Everything I do
Isn't enough for you
I take the blade
And lay it on my skin
Why wouldn't you
Let me in?
The blade is cold
Cold to the touch
I have noticed
It isn't bleeding much
I feel relief
I feel better
When I go out
I'll hide it with a sweater
My life didn't end
Although I thought it might
I just wanted
To end it tonight.

This poem was really well done! I enjoyed reading it because you had perfect flow and an outcome that made the reader think over your work. I loved the ending and the situation described seems almost real. Could it be true, or is it fiction? I haven't read this kind of poem before and I liked it overall. Keep writing!! Great job!
