Tainted Daylight

by Hannah Emellia   Aug 5, 2007

When the irksome light of daybreak,
Interrupts my placid dreams,
And when the icy morning bleakness,
Turns my hopes to withered streams,
It's hard to really pay attention,
When everything in crystal gleams,
The morning seems to mute it's beauty,
A shadow of the world of dreams.

So now in awe I face this question,
Why is it that day rules all?
Why is it that nightly torments,
Find us locked within our walls?

In the dark you hear them whisper,
Sounds of sadness, sounds of joy,
Dreams are only here to show us,
That our minds need more to toy,
And our issues shine the brightest,
When at rest, they still annoy,
Wipe away the fears that bind you,
And the issue, just destroy.

You're love affair with sleep runs deep it seems.

I remember when I was liked that, I enjoyed living in my dreams much more than the rest of my life.

WoW! That was so great! It flowed so well and it kept a steady beat. "Nightly torments" that sent slight chills down my spine. The idea is very very original, and the way you formed it made it even better! Keep it up!
