I LOVE the ending to this poem. A few of the lines were choppy, like "sort of absurd" and a bit cheesy. I think maybe the poem needs to be even longer, explain about what the preacher said. Anyways, good poem and the ending is my favorite. It is exquisite.

Wow this must be really tough for you
but i can relate
my dad passed when i was young of a heart attack
and i know what it's like to lose that father figure
this poem may not be the best structured or whatever
but it's the best emotion anyone could ask for
