If One Man Can, So Can You

by x Mo x   Aug 5, 2007

Tears falling to the dirt with pain.
Hitting the ground like falling rain.

Curled into a ball with sorrow,
I wish for a better tomorrow.

A soft hand touches my head,
A gesture of love with nothing said.

I look into warm, soft eyes,
And wonder why this man cries.

"I love you, you're important to me."
His voice is sincere and sets me free.

"Why do you weep?" I ask this man.
"I weep for you." It's more than I can stand.

I shed more tears at the sight,
Of a wonderful man helping me tonight.

I wonder out loud "Who are you?"
"I love you, my child. I do, it's true."

"You are in need," He holds me close.
I cry in confusion. I wonder how he knows.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That night I was saved
By a man I know not.
But my life was again well,
The sun again hot.
A lesson I've learned
Is one I will keep.
Care for every person
And care when they weep.
If one man can,
Then you can too.
Show caring and love
In all that you do.
