What is a Poem?

What is a poem?
a combination of words, and sounds
a rhythm that may or may not be there
feelings placed down in ink, in lead
situated between printed lines
pour out your heart onto a computer screen
press one button to change everything
what is a poem,
but your soul bared to see?
read like a book, with fewer lines
it may sound good, or it may jumble
but you can never rate your emotions
