What I'm Trying to Say

by TrueLover   Aug 5, 2007

Every day, I want to wake up to your face
and watch cartoons until noon,
when really good old movies come on at one a.m.,
I wanna watch them with you
when your brother stops by to visit,
I don't want to hear it when he's gone,
I want to be there right beside you,
to meet his brand-new son;
and if we get hungry
I want to order-in Chinese...
we should cuddle up by candlelight
in bed and watch t.v.
and when I get home from work,
I want home to be with you.
I want to leave the shower with damp hair
and snuggle in your lap
and I want to say goodnight in your arms
instead of on the phone.
What I'm really trying to say
is will you marry me, my dear,
and love our lives away?

Aw thats so cute! I like the last line best..."and love our lives away" thats so sweet! (Ive probably said this before, but I really like how you say things in your own words and dont use cliches.)

The poem had a steady rhythm. It never got rocky or unsteady at all! Keep it up!!
