You Were There for Me

by Marius Laun   Aug 5, 2007

You are the person
who helped me the most
You healed my wounds
and settled some ghosts

You helped me up
In my time of despair
Even though you are gone now
You'll always be there

I know you think
I helped you a ton
But it was you who helped me
See my life was not done

You cast off the shackles
of hatred and pain
You saved me from
Becoming insane

And in the end you set me free
And I want you to know
I'll be there for you
like you were for me.

Another one of you elegant poems. The theme of the poem is somewhat slow and peaceful. I really like the way you write. Keep it up!

Once again that last stanza sounds a bit off.
    You cast of* the shackles
    Off*
Dang it you never do anything wrong so I can never give you a four. :) Now everyone else is going to think you're bribing me because I rate them with so much critisizsm. I hate spelling that word too.
