Breathing With Error

by 19Rusty   Aug 5, 2007

I can wait for as long as you need me to
but when the time comes will you hold my
hand the next day, will you speak as you did
before, with compassion and with a truth so
pure, so real, and look at me like the first time
I watched you, or is the whole belief of happy
endings something that I can't continue with through.

As the sentences grow longer, it leaves no room for
any banter of any kind, only laughter said by letters,
are we missing the final lines of forever.

With each small distraction somehow you are not
blinded from me, and every time that you are gone
the drive for you is only minutes of the day now,
I said I will carry on, how long is the wait today.

The middle was my favorite. I thought it brought about a nice touch.
