Jaded

by Andrew Morton   Aug 5, 2007

The torn ends that never meet
are enough to strangle me
suffocating, oh how it hurts
still chocking my own words
the words i've never said
the thoughts i keep inside my head
laying in his bed i've made
oh how jaded

CHORUS:
everything i force belief on
falling back to where i belong
this hole i have dug myself
if only there was someone else
to blame
all the misconceptions of faith
the emotions i have come to fake
haven't seen happiness in a while
but still i sport this tainted smile
jaded

lessons learned from past youth
living a life defined by truth
speak no lies, wear no diguise
what's inside shines through my eyes
but still i put up this strong front
to weak from pain that its not enough
all the good times have faded
oh how jaded

CHORUS:
everything i force belief on
falling back to where i belong
this hole i have dug myself
if only there was someone else
to blame
all the misconceptions of faith
the emotions i have come to fake
haven't seen happiness in a while
but still i sport this tainted smile
jaded

living a lie
living in bliss
you cant let them
see you like this
dying inside
nothing exists
i wont let you
see me like this

CHORUS:
everything i force belief on
falling back to where i belong
this hole i have dug myself
if only there was someone else
to blame
all the misconceptions of faith
the emotions i have come to fake
haven't seen happiness in a while
but still i sport this tainted smile
jaded

jaded, you can't let them see you like this
so jaded, i won't let you see me like this
oh how jaded...

Thanks for the comment. I really liked these lyrics. My favorite stanza was:

    living a lie
    living in bliss
    you cant let them
    see you like this
    dying inside
    nothing exists
    i wont let you
    see me like this

Just really captured my attention and I really enjoyed it.
    Great job!
    Ciao
