Wolf

by N J Thornton   Aug 5, 2007

He raised his burly head
slightly, and as a canine;
whistled

one

two...

It caught her attention
like an infection.

Her gaze continued
as the puss filled spots
began to form
and spread.

He smiled that white,
dazzling smile
and winked,

mirroring her
'come hither' expression.

He moistened his
black, scabby lips
and approached
her.

Smacking her with his
pungent breath
she felt a Summer's breeze
upon her skin.

Then beaten,
by the swarm of moths
inside, he caught her
diseased embrace

and her symptoms
were terminal.

**Technically a (sick) love poem. But I chose to place it in this category so to not freak people out who are looking for happy, romance poetry.
