No Matter How Far

by Mousie   Aug 5, 2007

The white dove coos
As it flies overhead;
First past my window
Then past yours.

The moon rises
Gleaming in the night;
First in my window
Then in yours.

The stars twinkle
Singing songs of love;
First out my window
Then out yours.

The rain drops fall
Plopping ever so slight;
First on my window
Then on yours.

When you're lonely
And things feel out of place,
Remember always...

It's first with my window
Then with yours.

Ok, i don't know if this makes sense, what i was going for was this: ross (my b/f) just left for vacation saturday, and i'm really missing him... this poem was for him to remind him that we're always together no matter where... so the whole "first past my window, then past yours" is symbolic of whatever is in my window is also in yours, no matter where you are in the world... does this poem work and get that point across, that we're always together no matter how far away we are, no matter what distance separates us? let me know. thanks!
