Dangerous Mind

by SilentRebuke   Aug 6, 2007

One word flashing before my eyes
My mind's screaming for comfort,
And safety from her hurtful lies
I have reached my last resort

I'm looking for some distraction
Anything to stop this pain
Questioning my every action
Starting to wonder if i'm sane

So desperate i dont trust myself
Looking to complete strangers
Hoping someone will offer help
Striving to avoid more dangers

Dangers contained within my mind
Thoughts running fully wild
Almost scared of what i'll find
In innocence defiled

Simply to steal the briefest kiss
To see how far I could go,
I told myself that would be bliss
And so became my own foe

Mind and heart formed an alliance
Convincing me to follow
Wander from my clean moral stance,
Ease this pain until tomorrow.

WOW! Okay...so I totally LOVE this poem and it's message. It's great! The wording and message are very profound. How true the danger is of letting desires grow in your mind and then acting upon them!
