Night Creatures

by Elynnka   Aug 6, 2007

In the darkness of night -
Ebony ravens in flight.

Can you read the story behind her eyes?
A hand with black nails on which a raven lies
The sun going down behind her - darkness nigh -
A smile so seducing it could make you die.

Once soft skin now decomposing - so pale -
A storm of dust - no more air to inhale;
Behind her, the silver moon has risen,
Outlining droplets on spiderwebs newly woven.

By dawn her metamorphosis complete;
Raven feathers wandering on the street -
A smile so seducing, snow white fangs revealed,
Within seconds fear and confusion instilled.

In the dawn of day -
Doves signing in dismay.
