In My Wildest Dreams [Monotetra]

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Aug 7, 2007

Not in my wildest dreams did I,
Ever think to you that I`d lie,
But I watched your heart break and die,
And now I cry, and now I cry.

The truth is, I still love you so,
I never did want you to go,
Baby, I just wanted you to know;
What I can`t show, what I can`t show.

And these tears fall from my blue eyes,
Because I never could realize,
What you said, it never was lies,
Now my heart dies, now my heart dies.

I can`t breathe, stuck in a fantasy,
Because I told you to leave me,
And now I just want you to see,
This ain`t easy, this ain`t easy.

My intention wasn`t to hurt you,
But because of me, we are through;
I still miss you like I used to,
You know I do, you know I do.

Monotetra - a new poetic form developed by Michael Walker. Each stanza contains four lines
in monorhyme. Each line is in tetrameter (four metrical feet) for a total of eight syllables. What makes
the monotetra so powerful as a poetic form, is that the last line contains two metrical feet, repeated.
