Rose Venom

by Solus   Aug 7, 2007

It is a little know fact that the thorns of the rose contain a thin venom, its only purpose is to cause pain.....

Sick and battered, the child cries.
Given to pain, born to suffer.
Flesh pierced by unyielding spires.

Shadowed tears fall in lost rooms.
Alone and tired the grey one falls.
Stillness inside, shaking without.

Poison replaces blood.
Ashes of fear cloud the sun.
Let go of the love.

Lesson learned, Roses cause pain.
Life like the thorn, giving madness to the soul.
The solution Is to drop the rose....end the life.

Very powerful and deep, with excellent wording and amazingly created atmosphere. I like it from the beginning to the end- you managed to express the emotions greatly.
