The Vampire You Have Became

by Miss Behaving   Aug 7, 2007

Walking down this path in the dark.
All alone with no one leading the way.
You were bitten, and left with this mark.
Now the sun burns you during the day.

Hiding until night falls once again.
This thirsty rage for blood you hate.
You don't want to hurt or bring pain,
But you don't have much time to wait.

This thirst is driving you insane.
End your life, or end an others?
Or is there a way to contain,
This thirst that bothers?

Your eyes start lurking,
Your hearing so intense.
Your instincts working,
They're not for defense.

Your couching down, ready.
You can't control yourself.
You are considered deadly,
As your teeth bare themselves.

You pounce on a passing one,
Your teeth sink into their skin.
They've lost and you have won.
This battle you didn't want to win.

There's no denying what you've done.
You know what you have become.
