Thank you

Sitting at a table, I saw ya looking at me
could tell you never saw the likes of this before.

It is nothing new to me , but it is to you
don't like living this way, but nothing else I can do.

As we sat there for hours , looking at each other
I saw a tear roll down your face, it hurt.

For once in my life, I saw love from someone
a feeling that can only be felt in loves presences.

As you were getting ready to leave , I walked over
then my mouth dropped open and words begin to flow.

So much to tell you ,things ya don't know
the pain that lives inside you and never goes away.

When I left you standing there with your parents
from what I told em , they had nothing to say.

The beating and all the punches to the head
lying awake at night and wishing I were dead.

Having to wear things that were dirty and torn
to hating your own life from the day you were born.

For once in my life, someone saw the real me
not looking at the way I was dressed and laughing.

The tear in your eye , break my my own heart
actually it made me feel special for a little while.

Because after talking to you and your parents that day
you helped me make a decision to to run away.

Now I'm very thankful for what you helped me do
I just wanna find a way to say thank you.©2007 Tracydr42

Your poetry sounds so sincere, and this one isn't exception. Deep and heart- braking, very touching, as always. Keep up. 5/5 from me.

Wow, A lot of emotion in this piece.. Its so nice to find the people that sees the person inside and don't judge on what they see on the outside. This world needs more people like that :) I don't get the running away part though. That kinda threw me off a bit. Run away from home? Sounds like a rough life you described. Hopefully many people won't have to go though it. 5/5 Wonderful poem :) Thanks again for reading my story :P

Finding ways to thank someone is the hardest thing to do in any scenario, and you captured all the emotion and it tells a very vivid story, well done tracy
