One Sentence

Her world in pieces once more,
she believed she found harmony,
turns out I love you isn't the only line,
men use to get in your pants these days.

He promised her marriage, love, and happiness,
he abused her kindness and trust,
sexual intercourse was all he wanted,
her heart, she gave away too soon.

His lustful desires were his only true intentions,
she had made mistakes as well, but she was trying to change the future,
some people never let you lay your past to rest for good,
she spent her life trying to forget what had happened.

She actually believed he was different,
it finally came to the point she was crying for hours,
she needed to face her feelings before they tore her apart,
she banged on his door until he finally answered.

Her eyes filled with hatred and pain,
he asked her why she was there,
she made her face form a devilish grin,
she said, "I have one sentence for you."

He could feel her every word like a dagger being thrown at him,
his voice filled with fear as he asked, "What is your one sentence for me?"
She smiled again and says,
"Thanks for proving to me all men are the same."
