Our Memories are Fading

Can you remember the first day we met?
I was really shy, but I managed to say something.
Can you remember the first thing I said to you?
It was the only thing I could think of.

Can you remember the first time we hung out?
We watched a movie,
but couldn't seem to focus on anything but each other
We sat next to each other, time passed so slow
until you finally reached for my hand
I think my heart skipped a beat
because for that moment I lost my breath

Can you remember when we lay next to each other?
You held me close as we watched the moonlight.
But I couldn't keep my eyes off you,
the way they shined in the moonlight.
It felt so right, like nothing could go wrong

Now time is passing, and we are no more
These memories will start to fade sooner or later
And yet my question will remain,
Can you remember?
I don't think you do, because it never seemed like you cared much about me
But somehow, I don't think I'll ever forget you.
