Can we gaze at the stars and gaze into each other's eyes,
locked forever in passion & love,
romance & lifetime joy?

So sad to think we will one day be buried deep within the brown earth,
the shadows dancing & the moonlight kissing the tombstones, all a glow. Whispers things that mean more to me than life itself
& let your sweet scent hover around.

Hold me close and never let go,
don't ever let me cry, don't ever let us die.
I want to see the morning light, hold me close and never let me go,
arms locked together never to part.
I need you just to survive.

    This was a really good poem. You sound like a mature, experienced writer and your words are so beautiful.
    Yet I think you took away from the beauty of it with the && stuff. It seemed really juvanile to me. My suggestion is (if you want to be taken seriously) stick with plain old english.
