Promises

Promises are suppose to last forever
Yet they never do
You swear you'll never tell
Yet you always do

You don't think twice it just comes out
And you never realize how much u hurt someone
Until they're gone and you're without

A promise is what olds people together
Once it's broke
The glass shatters
The trust is gone
And the garden wilts
Things just aren't the same

Promises are always made
Yet only few are ever kept
