And I can admit, those words went straight to my head;
But Darling, it had nothing to do with me in the end,
It was about you and your lack of ability to pretend.
I`d agree with you, and say the same back to you;
But last night I sat down and thought that through,
The truth of the matter is, I still love your blue eyes,
And the way they`d cloud with tears to cover lies.
