Monster

by the song writer   Aug 9, 2007

I'll cover myself with everything that makes me so amazing
and I'll give you any reason to fall in love with me
and I've never been so high and mighty

OH God!
look at him!
He's taking such a beating
And he's dying right in front of my eyes
How could I ever love him?
He's getting so much pity, it's taking all the attention away from me

I think of myself every time I go out
It's always been my perspective
I love everyone but I want something else
And I'll never question my motif
And I might be a nice guy, but that's exactly what I want you to think

Take me off this pedestal
I don't want to be on here anymore
I've got to catch him, he's falling to the floor
God take this pain away from me
The pain of thinking so selfishly

I've become so monstrous, I swim in my cowardice
(And I'm drowning in it)

God,
Unmake the monster in me.
