Before You Die

by 19Rusty   Aug 9, 2007

In this world nothing seems short, only if we try to,
so lets try to defend what we should do,
not what they want us to do, not run but hide,
where anyone can see us, talk as loud and hate
us for it, all the while smile.

Hope for the hurt and all the pain, so we can
endure it now, then dance in the rain, soaking
us but bathing us in anew, not as we want to be,
but anything else that isn't like us, the faithful
will stay the same, have the rush to finish what
they started even for their last breath of life.

Ask what you need to and don't look away,
keep staring at tears, look at the failure and
grow stronger, do what you need to survive,
live out your fantasies, lie for a day,
hurt who you need to now and regret
nothing for you will have to someday.
