In Her Diary

by Jennycartoke   Aug 9, 2007

In the pages of her diary, lies the words of her life
As she reads through the pages, in her head pops a knife
She wouldn't use it though, she knew it wasn't right
Nobody would've known that she wasn't alright
She wore sorrow in her clothes, but her face was always so bright
Her emotions grew colder, as the hours passed through the night
Her tears grew older, but she continued to cry
As she asked herself why, as her eyes grew dry
She decided she no longer wanted to try
Maybe it was her time to finally say goodbye
Her arms were calling, and she couldn't any longer deny it
She wasn't stalling, so she decided to try it
One scratch with her finger, left the first red mark on her arm
At first she really didn't seem to see the harm
She scratched herself over and over; till it wasn't enough
she couldn't keep going on when times were so rough
The nights she spent contemplating seemed so tough
She decided she no longer wanted to try
She decided this was her time to finally say goodbye
In her diary she wrote her last words of her life
"I'm sorry I'm ending it, it's the only thing that's right"

Haha yeah. I don't think anyone actually "enjoys" depression... But thanks. =]
