that made me cry

Oh my God! I started to cry when I read this...I'm just speechless! I mean my jaw is still dropped, literally!!! And this is a sensitive subject for me anyway...not because of personal experiance, just fear I suppose. But this was so tragic! I'm not only rating this a 5 but I'm going to enter it into the weekly poetry contest. Holy crap! Absolutely breath-taking Charisma! Seriously, I can't say enough about it. Wow!

Oh my word. Definately one of your best poems. The imagery was wonderful, as was the flow...created a vivid picture in my mind. You did a great job of bringing in ideas and explaining this, the ending stanzas were definately unexpected ! AMAZING.

"My stomach aches, but it's more than just pain.
A part of you, and of me it contains.
You died a father, but won't ever know
Of the life you gave, just starting to grow."

This is beautifully written...heart breaking to read and it brought tears to my eyes, but non the less still so beautifully and elegantly worded. the emotion and depth in this piece are overwhelming, it hits the reader like a slap in the face. wonderfully wrapped up...such intensity and power. nicely done.
