Snapshot Of Love

by Cindy   Aug 9, 2007

Staring at our photograph
Twinkling love in our eyes
We were young and innocent
Always drying tears I cried

Promising to care for me
Wrapped in your strong embrace
Knowing we'd stay this way forever
No one could ever take your place

Here I sit, trying to carry on
Missing my life without you
Days drag on forever now
Being alone is hard to do

Life is nothing like I thought
Taking your picture from the wall
Pressing it tightly to my chest
Our happy times I recall

Our photo is getting older now
Yet love in my heart still feels new
Though you're somewhere else
I'm still here alone loving you

The time will soon be coming
When we are together once again
Two young people still in love
No way to seperate us then
