His forgotten birthday

by Rose not your average   Aug 10, 2007

The boys parents were always working.
They forgot a lot of things.
They would always break his heart.
Then try and make it up to him.

On the boys birthday,
They forgot about it,
Well at least he thought they did,
They always did.

They were not home when he got up.
They were not there all day.
He went into their room,
And felt a lot of gloom.

He went to there cabinet,
And started to sweat.
He looks at the medicine,
Then walked away.

He walked into the kitchen,
Going through the den.
He walks over to the knives
Preparing to take his life.

When his parents got home,
They saw him lying on the floor,
And saw his dead corps.
And all the blood.

She screamed,
He started to cry.
They dropped a card,
His birthday card.

It said,
They were sorry,
They really did care,
Please just keep holding on.

The imagery and the descriptions in this piece are so strong, they carry the piece and leave it like life really is, always twisting and turning. I wish I had seen this piece much sooner, because I love it. It stands out and leaves a true impression with the audience. Excellent 5/5
