Dreamer

by ECILA ice   Aug 10, 2007

I used to be a dreamer
Who sat at the back of my mind
Yes maybe I'm still a dreamer
Filling up the emptiness that I can't find

Feeding myself with all the fantasies
Or with all the lies in my head
Building up an imaginary reality,
More than a thing that can be said

Dwelling to a temporary world I can possess
And escape the real one that had forsaken me
Coz I know there I can find happiness
And for the mean time forget agony.

Hoping that I can stay there forever
More than a fantasy created by my head
But I know I'm just a dreamer
And I know this dream will soon be dead

Wow this one is my favourite I guess.
I can relate to this, it's nice to live in a imaginary world sometimes since the real world has so many ugly things.
Again i would have changed the coz here as wel,but i think it's like a stop word to you and stop words are hard to let go i guess.

"Hoping that I can stay there forever
More than a fantasy created by my head
    But I know I'm just a dreamer
And I know this dream will soon be dead"

Yes and then you realise you have to go back to the reality world again...
    wow, wow i LOVED this.

You described what it's like being a dreamer well. How dreams and fantasies make people happy but sooner or later reality comes it and kills it. It has an inspiring meaning.

Your poem said alot to me. I now know Im not the only one who drifts into the thoughts in my head. The only place where Im not judged or casted out for being who I am and how I feel.
I thank you and hope to soon write my own thoughts. Continue on your writing.
