If you asked me

by Ashley   Aug 10, 2007

If You were to ask me
What my life is like without you
I would tell you..

Ask a Blind Man
Who will never see the morning sun rise
Or the crystal blue waves crashing upon the shore

Ask a paralyzed person
Who will never dance to their favourite music
Or be able to complain that their feet hurt from walking all day

Ask a childless woman, unable to conceive
Who will never feel her Childs arms around her
Or hear the word Mom

Ask an elderly woman in mourning
Whos just lost her husband of 50 years
And will spend every night sleeping alone

Ask the homeless man on the street corner
Who will never know the luxury of crisp clean sheets
Or a hearty home cooked meal

Ask the young girl
Who spends her time completely alone
without someone who loves her

If you were to ask me,
what my life is like without you
I would tell you there are no words
It is a feeling..

only felt.

Such a clever piece. I was waiting to hear how it would end. You are very creative in your expression, what a gift.
