Teacups And Quilts

by Jenni Marie   Aug 10, 2007

Pull the quilt up a little closer
Make yet another cup of tea
Wrap it around you firmly
Don't ever let anyone see

Tug it up around your shoulders
Then take a delicious long hot sip
Smile and bask in blessed silence
Feel the quilt resting on your hips

Listen to your heartbeat beating in your chest
Show a glorious heart warming smile
Curled up in bed, comfortable and serene
It's the little things that make it worthwhile

I love the entire feel of this poem. It's poetry like this I wish I could write without it sounding corny, but this is fantastic! :) And the flow and rhyme scheme was great too. Wonderful job. 5/5!
