Pray in Sadness

Mother Mary, Son of God
Let us pray in sadness

My fellow humans long for war
Can't you stop them ever more?

Show them your love Mother Mary
Destroy all the feelings of hate

See all the sadness that they spread
Forgive us our sins in our hour of death

The strongest of emotions calls them to battle
But an answer in Christ will bring peace

The peace will come in the form of a saviour
That once died out of love for us

So until the time that he comes once again
Mother Mary, Son of God let us pray in sadness
