And It Was All She Said To Me {Triple Triolet}

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Aug 10, 2007

And it was all she said to me;
"The lantern's light is paler still."
Against the wind, quick, I agree,
And it was all she said to me.
Diamonds glisten with taste, you see,
Smoldering the leaves, a distant chill;
And it was all she said to me;
"The lantern's light is paler still."

And it was all she said to me;
"The lantern's light is paler still."
Fall sets in, the winds cry for free;
And it was all she said to me.
We saw God cry his misery
In the pain we put him through, until;
And it was all she said to me;
"The lantern's light is paler still."

And it was all she said to me;
"The lantern's light is paler still."
The wind shatters the breaths we breathe,
And it was all she said to me.
The air, a smell touched with debris,
"Longer to travel, greater thrill,"
And it was all she said to me;
"The lantern's light is paler still."

A Triolet is a poetic form consisting of only 8 lines. Within a Triolet, the 1st, 4th, and 7th lines
repeat, and the 2nd and 8th lines do as well. The rhyme scheme is simple: ABaAabAB, capital

    I don't know what to say but wow, I hope this was one of the four that you liked. It's amazing. The structure and its mystery. I'm a fan.
