Darkness

by loversdismiss   Aug 10, 2007

There's a knock at the door,
a sudden silence in the room.
a sudden burst of light,
casting a shadow upon the floor.

one so long and tall,
it covers all hope.
still climbing,
afraid it will soon fall.

the room is know black
and fear replaces the shadow.
growing taller and taller
soon to attack.

the heart beats faster
with fear of the next event.
darkness sticks to the walls
like a thick black plaster.

searching around the room
black is all that is seen.
the heart stops
revealing its doom.

it didnt have to end that way
alone in the thick black shadow.
it leaves behind a writing
revealing what darkness has to say.

as the light returns
its only a small flicker.
the shadow tries to cover
the flicker as it burns.

as the flicker fades again,
it hides what the darkness
caused and conered
keeping hidden its one and only sin.

when that is hidden
another victim will occure.
going into the darkness.
that was onced forbidden.
