The American Flag

I see it every day when i walk into class
It's hanging on the walls in every room i pass
I've never thought about it much
It's just a flag, i used to say
But it means alto to everyone, especially today

After 9/11 and all this time at war.
I think about it all the time and what i stands for
I know it stands for freedom, I've known that since i was five
It also stands for peace and love and all of us combined.
Thinking back through all the wars the men and women that die. The flag stands for them saluting them good-bye.

So why should we continuse this fight
we have all we need.
The flags stands for us
Showing that we're free
