Wanting more

Sometimes in the darkness of an empty room,
One is stuck thinking of how life could be different,
Why is it that when life is the best?
God seems to put you to the test?

Always caught feeling so blue and depressed,
When life is so wonderful,
Strange how it works out this way,
Your friends, bewildered, do not know what to say.

Anger surrounds when it finds one to blame,
Why is it not different? This can't be all!
Please, believe me, for I know what is true,
For I used to be like this, just like you.

Keep living, be strong, fight through the tears,
Please just take my advice,
This is hard, I have been there before,
Stop hating what is good, stop wanting more.
