Journey Within

by OHgreenman   Aug 11, 2007

Filled with dark emotions
Of what I left behind
Memories of joyous laughter
Face tattooed upon my mind

Flood gates have opened
Soul cries for your return
Broken heart grown cold
Raging fire still burns

Path of obscure awaits
Now walking it alone
Cyclops on a journey
Seeing half, what is shown

What will I find
Once I've reached the end?
Quiet soul? Warm heart?
Answers, just around the bend

First off thank you for having me on your favorites, I added you just as well. Your dark pieces are a favorite to me. In your words it just connects many things in my life and it makes me reflect. I wanted to keep reading because it was like a short story of love that went wrong, just as it has in mine a while ago, perfect.

I really enjoyed this piece, It was really deep holding great emotions. The flow was spot on almost chant like, really smooth and didn't falter at all. You wrote a poem which held such truth and i'm sure many people can relate to this no matter how young or how old. A beautiful piece you have here. Loved it alot. ~mel
