My Night

by Lost Soul 691   Aug 11, 2007

Gentle caresses
fierce embraces
nothing can compare
to the moment

a night I hold dear
yet I feared
the loneliness
the emptiness

time moves on
can't hold back the clock
yet one will remember
times like this

special moments
unspoken words
all cares brushed aside
for the heat

that comes from a spark
gently tended
to ignite
the passion within

each stroke tells it's tale
unbeknownst to you
yet I'm fine with this
for the smile radiates

no one can take away
what I felt
not even you
for it was my time

my night to claim
my night to be
In my mind
my Knight

Thank you

Note : Birthdays don't hold a lot of special memories, the good ones erased by the memories of terror and pain. But this last one was made a lot easier through the company of a very special friend.
