G8, You're late!

by Nikki   Aug 11, 2007

G8, you're late,
Many brothers and sisters have finished their toil
And lie dead under Africa's soil.
I used to think illness and poverty could happen to anybody
And gave humanity equality.
But now I know they are the cellar
Of my life.
We have food, work, health and education,
Choices are our greatest stress,
I would share for less.
But we are not in positions of power
That governments and big corporations are,
Putting the icing on my cake,
I can leave the crumbs but
I'd rather have a packet of biscuits to share
Give the people a slice, make it fair.
G8, look at the date, you're already late
But better late than never.

I really like this. The flow was consistent and it had a nice rhyme scheme, good job.
i think my favourite bit was **Many brothers and sisters have finished their toil
And lie dead under Africas soil.**
