A Few Thoughts

by Letty   Aug 12, 2007

Staring out of the window,
On this warm and sunny day.
Searching for the new and different,
But everything is still the same.

The leaves are an indescribable green,
And I still sit here alone.
I only have my pen and pad,
There is nothing else I own.

My seconds are like minutes,
Hours are long exhausting days.
Who would have thought a girl like me,
Would spend her time this way.

I have never seen a blue violet,
My roses are always red.
Most of my life I have never lived,
Because I've spent most of it dead.

I've always wanted to swim with dolphin's,
And ride bare back upon a horse.
I should have chose the path that was laid for me,
But I took the long and wrong course.

My, Miss Letty... what sadness lingers in your verse! Verily, such a remorseful sentiment is clearly shown by the words you've chosen: it's very poignant and engaging to read, since we also experience making bad decisions at some point of our lives. But alas, the one portrayed by this piece seems to me to have gone directionless in life. How tragic. A pleasure to read, nevertheless. Regards. [=

A sad poem to read Letty, still very well written. There are still glimmers of Hope on those Warm Sunny Days, Chase your dreams. Swim with the dolphins and ride a prancing horse through a meadow of Blue Violets. Chin up, there is always tomorrows.
    Peace and Blessings
