Night without sleep

by Cathie   Aug 12, 2007

Awake in the morning,
From a night without sleep;
Facing a brand new day,
With new memories to keep.

Feeling awfully blue,
Stuck in a moment of time,
You thought was long lost,
And it feels like a crime.

How did you end up here?
Why did your life revolve?
How did you get all these problems,
You just can't solve?

Not knowing where you going,
Only where you're from.
A wish of a different faith,
And of better days to come.

The smell of sweet jasmine,
Takes me far away,
And brings me right back,
To where I stand and sway.

Smile upon my face,
Things are brighten up:
As I see the sun rise,
I know my heartache will stop.

Tired from no sleep.
Tired of my life.
But still going strong,
Life isn't that strife.

    Hey this is really good!
i love your rhyming and it flows really well too.
not quite sure what the last two line mean though, it seems a little forced.

    still 5/5
