Who are you

by JaMeS   Aug 12, 2007

Who are you?
on this so average day
in my gloomy town
like a gift from above you descend

who are you?
mixed in between the bustling crowd
the Saturday shoppers
from the raincoat mound you appear

who are you?
that unforgettable day
catching my eye with one smile
a magical presence as you arrived

who are you?
red coat disappearing
you masked yourself so well
you left me clueless when you went
who were you..

It seems that those who make some sort of impact in our lives, whether good or bad, always leaving us asking "who" and "why".

I like how you stayed with the same question as far as who... and then went on to illustrate the what in each verse.

This is one of those poems that leaves the reader searching with in themselves for their own ghost and the "who" in their own life.
