Slowly letting go

by karissa   Aug 12, 2007

I know letting you go will be the hardest part,
and just thinking about it breaks my heart.
It's not something I want to do,
but I have no choice but to get rid of you.
I know my mom don't want us together,
and if it wasn't for her, we'd last forever.
I lost you twice before and you still came back to me,
something keeps telling me we were meant to be.
You mean so much to me and I never wanted us to end,
but it seems to me, you already fell for my best friend.
I'll take your word for it's not true,
because just thinking of it, makes me blue.
Hopefully I'll find myself back in your arms again,
just like I was before our relationship had to end.
There's not much left to even say,
but I know I'll still think about you night and day.
I wish we could find a way to make it through,
because Nathan, I'll always love you.
